GRADINGS EXPLAINED (based on Discogs system):

MINT – sealed and never played.

NEAR MINT – perfect or with only one or two very minor inaudible scuffs only visible under the strongest light. Most of my NM records look ‘mint’/unplayed.

VERY GOOD PLUS – a record that has been played carefully. Usually no scratches but signs of play. May be a few very light scuffs visible in strong light or visible scratches that don’t affect play

VERY GOOD – will have scratches and scuffs. May be a few or many, but still a playable record, if you don’t mind a bit of crackle or the odd pop.

GOOD PLUS – lots of scratches that significantly affect play. No skips. Not really a listening copy, just something to complete a collection.

FAIR – like G+ but worse. No skips.

POOR – record will not play through without skipping. Only useful to complete a collection.
